The construction of Anhui Haoyuan Chemical Group’s 260,000t/y styrene&60,000t/y ethylene oxide project, and its auxiliary unit have almost been completed. Now the project is in the system purge and pressure test stage. The project will be put into operation in April next year. Inside plant zone, environment protection measures are incorporated in almost every production procedure. e.g. 180 meter high stack emits waste gas up to emission standard. In addition to conventional desulphurization and denitrogenation unit, another sulfur recovery unit that is based on wet process sulfuric acid ECOSA® technology of Keyon process is added. The ECOSA® unit utilizes sour tail gas coming from rectisol unit to produce 17,000t/y concentrated sulfuric acid up to 98%, which generates economic benefit for sustainable development. The expected additional sales revenue will reach 5.6 billion RMB, additional taxation volume will be 655 million RMB.
