Recently, Shanxi Coking Coal Group Feihong Chemical Co., Ltd. organized an evaluation conference for the Process Design Package of the sulfur recovery unit of 600,000t/y coal to olefin project. The sulfur recovery unit of 1,000,000t/y coke coal to methanol revamp project of Shanxi Coking Coal Group Feihong Chemical Co., Ltd. adopts ECOSA process of Keyon Process to treat sour gas coming from the rectisol unit in methanol syngas purification process. The ECOSA unit, with production capacity 27,000t/y of sulfuric acid ,is designed as auxiliary unit to the sulfur recovery plant. The overall design evaluation of 1,000,000t/y coke coal to methanol revamp project of Shanxi Coking Coal Group Feihong Chemical co., Ltd has been completed. Now, the project is in construction phase.

The main purpose of this evaluation meeting is to finalize Process Design Package of the sulfur recovery plant, and to optimize sulfur recovery proposal. The 600,000t/y coal to olefin project and the joint project of 1,000,000t/y coke coal to methanol plant, are both key projects to the coking coal economic zone which is one of the 6 big “11236” industrial zones of Shanxi Coking Coal Group. Since three related projects are closely interconnected, comprehensive construction and the future utility project of 1,000,000t/y coking coal gas to methanol plant are also taken into consideration.
